We are now three weeks into the 2019-20 season. Following these early games of the season, I would like to take a few moments to remind officials about some procedural matters that have caused some issues even this early in the season.
Online match reports
It is very important that these should be completed within 24 hours of a game being played by one of the REFEREES. This is most easily done at the end of the game in the venue via a mobile phone if possible, failing that via device that can access the TML website.
REFEREES - please ensure that you know (as a pair at the end of the game) who is taking responsibility for doing this. You may need to take a photograph of the completed scoresheet away with you if you intend to complete the online form away from the venue.
MVPs
For ALL League games an MVP must be provided by the opposing team.
TABLE OFFICIALS - please mark the selected players clearly on the white scoresheet.
REFEREES - please enter the relevant players onto the online form when you complete this after the game.
Final game result
It is important that the referees and table officials check that the game score is correct on the visible scoreboard and on the scoresheet AT THE END OF EACH QUARTER.
TABLE OFFICIALS - please ensure that the quarter scores are correctly recorded on the scoresheet at the end of each quarter and ask the referee to confirm this. Finally, ensure that the final score is correctly recorded and that it matches the sum of the quarter scores.
REFEREES - please check that the visible score is correctly displayed and the quarter score written on the scoresheet at the end of every QUARTER. Finally, at the END OF THE GAME please check that the quarter scores add up correctly to the final score written on the scoresheet before you sign the sheet.
