FOLLOWING ON from the successful first one, the second of this season's Development Sessions - organised by your Referee Development Group - will take place on Monday 29 October at the sports centre, Rye Hill, Newcastle College. The session will last an hour (7pm-8pm) and will be a mix of theory, clips and on-court situations. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to enter the court in the sports centre.
This session is aimed primarily at referees and coaches, and aims to:
- improve clarity about what is and is not an unsportsmanlike foul, and the different types of unsportsmanlike foul
- improve the shared understanding of this by referees and coaches
- reduce the conflict between referees and coaches in games about what is and is not called
- improve the skills of players through informed coaching
Instructors for the evening will be Alan Richardson, Lyn Fenwick and JonPaul Heron.
